Zhang’s artworks were widely collected by top Museums, important private and public collections such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Hermitage Museum, the Solomon Guggenheim Museum, the MacArthur Foundation, Centre Pompidou, Foundation Louis Vuitton Paris, Louvre Abu Dhabi, the National Gallery of Australia and Shanghai Art Museum etc. 

In 2006, Zhang Huan and his wife Jun Jun Hu organized the Gao’an Foundation, providing support for educational, cultural, Buddhist and other charitable undertakings. The foundation has built many Hope Elementary Schools in Western China.
